The gala’s closing function was presided over by the min of state for gender and social development in charge of the elderly and disability
Hon Sulaiman Kyebakoze Madada …at YMCA Kampala;

Other sports grounds included Buganda road and Nakasero for football and Ahamadiya high school grounds for netball
In his address the minister Emphasized that ….sports is the best avenue to unit religion, politics, and the youth

He was happy to note that this sports gala with its colorful assimilation to culture fits so well in this cultural week
Appreciated the developments made by the YMCA Kampala branch administration

He thanked the disabled for having taken part in this gala especially in the mind sports and the sit volley ball
All participants at individual and club level got certificates while some disciplines contracted trophies and others cash prizes
over 200 clubs took part in this year’s  YMCA sports gala.
