It was a glamorous tourney and Africa ruled the world in terms of organisation. The English loudspeakers were outsmarted by the neat organisation of the whole thing. My memorable moments include: the octopus predictions,Howard Webb's mediocre performance,Ghana's extra time winner against USA!

The least favourites going to the final of the world cup, the amazing antics of Paolo the Octopus, the vuvuzelas, the Jabulani, Europe ruling the world, what else...everything to remember.

Nothing caught my attention than European tv stations interupting their normal views to screen PAUL predicting the last two matches live. WHAT on earth were these people thinking? But anyway, it added some class to the world cup.

mwana i think it was a great tounament its good that spain won it though i would have wanted the brazilians to win it.i think this spanish team is even better than the team france assembled in 98 and 2000. i olso think barcelona has the bigest role played in improving the spanish national team from being under achivers to world and european champs when real dominated spain and europe spain were undisputed chockers when barca began its dominance with the midfield of xavi and andreas spain changed a great deal. i think these guys a legends of the game its good that they have played in the same era. with messi well i expected that since no one has been world player of the year and gone on to dominate and even win a major tournament like wc and euro from basten 92,baggio 94,ronaldo 98,figo zidane 2002,ronaldinho 2006,christiano 2008 and now messi in 2010.

My world cup moment invloves a spanish football player and a Soccer guru in Uganda being Andres Iniesta and Joseph Kabuleta....the guru in question when he dislikes a player for reasons best known to him will use logic and create an absurb argument to discredit that player hence the Tomentor in Chief Iniesta, along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Kabuleta would rather die than give those two any credit....with Ronaldo he has had some little success in discrediting him though sometimes far fetched arguments but with Iniesta this has proved very tricky......Listening to Kabuleta all week i could feel he wanted to bring his guru arguments of Iniesta class but how could he...it proved a hard one hence he settled for things like "HE CONNED WEBB INTO FREEKICKS", "CANT BE IN THE TOP TEN PLAYERS JUST BECAUSE HE SHOWED UP ONLY IN SEMI FINALS AND FINALS". So to all touch down listeners watch this battle unfold as the annoying little Iniesta forcefully Makes the Ugandan guru accept who is boss in this one.......just like me and Rooney....Kabs shall accept the power of this small god, Give me Iniesta ahead of Messi anyday....to end with Mark Ssali words yesterday......If Andres Iniesta had been fit a certain Intermilan wouldnt be European champions and for Kabuleta "IT IS NOT A QUESTION OF IF YOU SHALL CHANGE BUT WHEN YOU SHALL HAVE THE INIESTA BUG", we also like you once.

it was a memorable tournament as it unvailed new talents such as dede ayew, mueller, sanchez and ozil who in my view are the serious future of football.
i will remember SA2010 for the poor showing of funcied teams such as italy france nigeria england(cheated by ref)and poor form of players rooney torres yakubu(miss of the century)

by: Gallas of Chelsea on 26-Jul-2010 7:08:19 AM
Suarez for the wrong reason, he will remain an outcast in Africa, hopefully, his trip down south was the last time he ever set foot in our mother continent
Otherwise, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany among the big ones going home without the cup made my tournament.
My best goal for the tournament was Hondas free kick for Japan... great staff.
SA was a success otherwise

man i just like kabs en some times i take what ever he says in sports like the ultimate truth but thou we missed him en mark during this wc,i remember the german 06 edition with acertain philip man it was always the best thing on radio.but man samson is true wen kabs hates aplayer he will check in his arsenal to rubbish him en i always kwow where the fitina comes from let that player toment germany or even bayern thou wen da lima did it with germany in 02 he took it easy. but any way our kabs we just like you that way cause if u change then you wont be the kabs we ave listerned to for the last 11years(for me). truth be told i just admire you brain and the way you annalyse certain issues which make me belive that you are even beter than what ithink you are . i remember kabs arguing maradona vs pele and man the guy said of how maradona's greatness is blown out of proportion comparing him to mohamed ali? the quotes, with diego surviving drugs the usa 94 eviction. anay way thanks kabs even thou we may dis agree on certain issues you just ammuse me with you talent thaannnxxxx

I was very impressed with the way South Africa manged to organise the tournament. But the football was not that good. The tounament promised too much with the potentail it had but delivered less. Not taking away any thing from forlan becouse he deserved it but he would not have even come close to tournament player if it was a diffrent world cup. That is how bad the football was.

I have a million moments from 1 of ma best worldcups since i didn't watch 1986 & 1990 editions!1st Green's "magic" hands against U.S.A,Suarez's save of the tournament,Mensah's posture prior 2 taking the spot kick,Ceaser's "skirtpales"(big shorts),capello's celebration of Lampard's goal that never crossed the line,The look on Maradona's face when Germany scored the 4th goal(ma best moment in the 2010), and then iniesta's death nail in the final!
